Saturday, August 21, 2010	10 AM	Crown Plaza Hotel	Equality Day Brunch. The Missouri Women's Network is hosting the 23rd Annual Equality Day Brunch to celebrate the 90th anniversary of women getting the vote. Presentations will include election and legislative issues, political action information, awards and women's equity. The event will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Clayton, in the Crystal Ballroom. For further information call 314-831-5359.
Thursday, August 26, 2010	5:30 - 8:00 pm	YWCA Phyllis Wheatley Heritage Center.	EQUITY DAY CELEBRATION. The League and the YWCA Metro St. Louis are co-sponsoring an event on August 26th, the actual date the 19th amendment was ratified. The celebration will take place at the YWCA Phyllis Wheatley Heritage Center. Anna Eleanor Roosevelt is the featured speaker, with additional presentations with a local emphasis also planned. More information will be presented in the July In League Reporter.
Monday, September 6, 2010	7:30 am - 2 pm	University City Loop	Tailgate Sale. The St. Louis League`s Annual "League in the Loop" Tailgate Sale is fast approaching. The sale takes place - RAIN or SHINE - on Monday, Labor Day, September 6, 2010, at 6655 Delmar. YOU CAN HELP MAKE IT THE BEST SALE WE EVER HAD YOU CAN VOLUNTEER TIME TO HELP WITH THE SALE YOU CAN DONATE ITEMS TO THE SALE FOR OUR BOOTH WE NEED LOTS OF ITEMS FOR THE LEAGUE BOOTH. Sale will run from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. So now is the perfect time to clean out those closets, the basement, and the garage and donate your unwanted items to the League.

Thursday, September 9, 2010	10:30 am	Cape Albeon Dining Room	Health Care Committee. The Health Care Committee will meet on September 9th to plan our program for the coming year. Meeting will be held at Cape Albeon in the family dining room at 10:30am. Directions: From Highway 270 and Dougherty Ferry take Dougherty Ferry Rd. west, cross Big Bend and continue to Lake Bend Drive. Turn left and you are there. The next meeting of the EQ committee will be September 14th at the League Office at 5:30 pm. Dessert will be provided. Consider joining the EQ Committee. Do not have time for EQ Committee, but are still interested in Environmental Issues? You can help the EQ committee by serving as a resource or liaison + contact Mickey to find out how you can assist. The Topic for this year will be Environmental Quality and Sustainability. How can we as individuals work to decrease our use of limited resources? What can we do to decrease our carbon footprint?
